TB JoshuaThe inquest, presided over by Magistrate Oyetade Komolafe, decided to indict the building contractor, a Divisional Police Officer (DPO), and Mr. T.B. Joshua's church.
The coroner recommended that the contractor be prosecuted for doing a shady and unprofessional job. The magistrate also ruled that the DPO in Ikotun area, Alaba Haruna, should be transferred out of the area for not allowing proper investigation into the case.
Also, the magistrate said the Church, headed by Prophet T.B. Joshua should be duly investigated for culpability in the faulty building construction.
The powerful Lagos-based prophet did everything he could to frustrate the inquest, including publicy claiming the building collapsed due to a "supersonic boom" emitted from a jet flying in the area during the fatal collapse of the church building.
