Nollywood diva, Omotola Jalade Ekeinde has condemned the recent trend of trekking in solidarity with politicians by some ‘loyal’ Nigerians.It would be recalled that the trend started with one Hashimu Suleiman who reportedly trekked from Lagos to Abuja to honour the president-elect ,General Muhammadu Buhari for his victory. Some other Nigerians have followed the trend by walking from their different locations to honour politicians they have soft spot for.
Enraged by the trend, Omotola wondered why youths are trekking their future away to celebrate elected politicians while they suffer and languish in poverty.
“Silly youths trekking their futures away. You don’t trek to bring awareness to your suffering plights but trek to celebrate politicians?Smh!” she wrote.
